Patina I
Patina I
For the first time, glaze enters my wall-based work : not as a finish, but as a living skin, revealed by light.
It settles in subtle layers, follows the relief, slips into the depths, and catches on textures.
As the day unfolds, the piece transforms: shifting reflections, soft glimmers, almost liquid luminosity.
Each work evokes a silent landscape, slowly shaped by time. A fragile topography, between emergence and fading.
The Patina series was born from a desire to deepen the relationship between material and light.
While my previous works revealed the raw texture of clay, Patina introduces a new dimension: transformation.
The glaze becomes a trace of time : a gentle alteration, an imagined oxidation, as if the surface had moved through seasons.
I seek to capture that moment when matter shifts,
when it becomes almost landscape, almost light.
