My sculptures extend into volume the explorations developed through my wall works.

Built entirely by hand in stoneware, they explore the relationship between form, matter and surface. I build, carve, compress or gradually remove clay, allowing traces of gesture and transformation to remain visible.

As in my wall works, landscapes provide a starting point without ever becoming models to reproduce. Erosion, cavities, tensions, movements and surfaces shaped by time are transformed through memory and gesture to give rise to autonomous forms.

Some surfaces remain raw, while others are worked or glazed. These variations do not seek to imitate nature, but to explore the possibilities of the material and its ability to carry a sensation.

Each sculpture becomes a three-dimensional territory, shaped somewhere between experience, memory and matter.
